Continuity Director - Entry Level

Job Summary:  Work as a member of the traffic department to formulate commercial logs for announcers to follow on a daily basis.  Responsible for all copy collection and entry into Marketron system, as well as maintaining the current network commitments on all Greater Boston Radio stations.  The position is full time, 8:30am-5:00pm

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

* Collect copy from salespeople and agencies (Scripts, DAT tapes, MP3, CD’s);

* Process copy for production department, preparing production orders;

* Enter all live tags and traffic :10’s into the traffic tagging systems;

* Responsible for network commercials:  entering contracts, processing copy,
   and keeping accurate records of network inventory (current networks: 
   Westwood One, Premiere, MJI, Metro News, and NE Weather);

* Filing Network affidavits on a timely basis

* Print copy discrepancy reports for salespeople weekly;

* Formulate copy purge lists for production to maintain accurate/timely
   materials in the audio vault;

* Maintain traffic/copy files (file/purge records);

* Collect scripts for accounting department to accompany invoices;

* Collect daily logs and rectify any discrepancies immediately;

* Answer questions from listeners, clients and agencies;

* Fill in for other traffic personnel at any Greater Boston Radio station.

Interaction:  Must be a team player that is able to work with all departments of the radio station with particular emphasis on sales and production.  Must be able to handle stressful environment with deadline oriented workload.

Job Requirements:

* Typing 35-40wpm

* Computer knowledge (Marketron  preferred)

* Ability to juggle multiple tasks

* Work well under pressure

* Ability to meet demanding deadlines

* Work in a team/group setting

* Even temper, ability to handle multiple personality types

Experience:

* Entry level position

* Some broadcast/agency experience a plus

Education:

* College degree preferred or similar higher learning (Broadcast/trade school)

Administrative Assistant - P/T - Greater Media Marketing Group

Work with our company’s key and target accounts on developing integrated media solutions, event sponsorships and customized programs.  Greater Media Marketing Group is currently seeking a part-time Administrative Assistant to assist the Executive Director in the implementation of sales programs. 

The ideal candidate has impeccable attention to detail; is proficient in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel; and can multi-task efficiently with a positive attitude and high standards.  Experience in Photoshop is a plus.  Candidate must be aware of the digital media space (websites, mobile, social networking, etc.).  The ideal candidate loves to manage many projects at once.  Some specific tasks for this position include:

  • Create and update revenue spreadsheets;
  • Create sales one sheets and maintain Product Price Guide;
  • Manage the Executive Director’s schedule;
  • Work with sales team and create integrated media solutions proposals;
  • Assist in fulfillment of client sponsorships and customized programs as developed by the department;
  • Maintain idea generation report for project brainstorms;
  • Maintain current list of preferred vendors and assist sales with price quotes;
  • General administrative duties in assisting Executive Director in daily tasks.

*maximum 24 hours per week

Street Team (PT)- WBOS-WKLB-WMJX-WROR-WTKK

Greater Media Boston stations, WBOS 92.9, WKLB 102.5, WMJX 106.7, WROR 105.7 and WTKK Talk 96.9 are seeking part time Street Team Members who are interested in learning more about event marketing and the fascinating world of Radio Broadcasting and Promotions.  As part of the Street Team, you will work to gain exposure for the radio stations at station-produced and/or sponsored events, area concerts, sporting and cultural events and other on-site opportunities relevant to the station's marketing and sales effort.

Candidates must be detail oriented, creative and outgoing. They must have strong communications and organizational skills and must be able to represent the station(s) in a positive manner at events.  Candidates should have strong people skills, web/internet knowledge, and must be able to multi-task and meet deadlines.  All candidates should possess a desire to learn more about promotional/marketing strategies for radio.  In order to be considered for the position, candidates must have a valid driver's license and must be capable of loading the station vehicle in preparation for events.  This position is limited to a 12 month employment period.

*Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

*Set up, execution, and breakdown of station appearances,

*Representation of the station in a positive manner,

*Maintenance of station vehicle and prize inventory,

*Interaction with clients at sales appearances,

*Upholding appropriate station image at all events,

*Communication with Promotion Coordinator before and after events,

*Assistance in recruiting and training interns.

Internship Program - WBOS-WKLB-WMJX-WROR-WTKK

The Internship Program for Greater Media Boston radio stations, WBOS 92.9, WKLB 99.5, WMJX 106.7, WROR 105.7 and WTKK Talk 96.9 is a non-salaried position which is designed to give students hands-on experience with the various aspects of major market radio stations. The program is available to college students, working for class credit, who are able to work  10-15 hours per week for twelve weeks. Interns are trained and supervised by the department manager for the particular station(s) you are assigned (i.e. Sales, Promotions/Programming, Business Administration Engineering).

Interns must be resourceful and willing to initiate projects. Good communications skills and attention to details and attention are important.
